The Place We Dwell
by Joanne Davis & Sarah Lloyd
The Place We Dwell is a state of being.
It is rough, rickety and fragile, yet beautiful to dwell in.
It is with us all, building strength or eroding despite our best efforts.
It sits lightly on the land, of utmost fragility; yet maintains an inherent tenacity, grace, and beauty.
It will gladly ‘house’ all the weirdness we place inside.
The mono-print images are most vivid when viewed from within the dwelling, manifestations of the strangeness and beauty of our internal musings. They are ‘flawed’ images, their rips and holes embraced, allowing us to peer in or out.
The fragile, borage-star roof beckons us to look up and dream.
